Job Title: DIRECTOR, CORPORATE SERVICES | KNQA/NO.2/2021

Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree
Job Term: 5 Years Contract
Position Level: KNQA GRADE 2
Remuneration: Kshs 158,435 - Kshs 243,982 pm 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required

  1. A Minimum of twelve (12) years relevant work experience and at least ten (10) in a senior management role in the Public Service or Private Sector;

  2. Bachelor’s Degree (KNQF Level 7 or equivalent) in either Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, ICT, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Human Resource or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

  3. Master’s Degree (KNQF Level 9) in any of the following: Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Human Resource or their equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

  4. Membership and in good standing of a relevant professional body/Institution;

  5. Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;

  6. Proficiency in computer applications;

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Overseeing all issues regarding the financing of KNQA activities and advise the
    Authority on financial planning strategies and policies;

  2. Developing and implementing sound financial management policies and procedures;

  3. Plan and coordinate timely preparation of annual Work Plans and budget estimates for the Authority;

  4. Developing and managing internal controls and compliance;

  5. Participating in developing resource mobilization strategies;

  6. Overseeing preparation of the final Annual Statement of Accounts in accordance with accounting standards and procedures;

  7. Developing and overseeing the implementation of a dynamic corporate strategy that is able to deliver services and results as envisioned in the strategic plan;

  8. Ensuring prudent and optimal utilization of Authority funds and Assets;

  9. Providing up to date, accurate and prompt management accounts and reports to the
    management and the Council;

  10. Providing oversight to the Authority’s human capital affairs, ensuring that the Authority has the right and sufficient human resource to meet its objectives;

  11. Providing oversight for effective records management operations;

  12. Participating in the development and review of the Institution’s strategic plan;

  13. Reviewing the Corporate Services business plans in line with the overall strategic
    objectives and government performance contract;

  14. Overseeing operations of Human Resources, Administration and Finance &
    Accounting departments; and

  15. Overseeing the implementation of corporate projects.
