Broadband Communication Network is a communication Technologies Organization dedicated to providing Complete Communication Network Solutions for Network Operators, Communication Regulators, Broadcasting Houses, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) Utilities, Governments, UN bodies, and large business organizations in Africa.
They seek to recruit the Project Manager who will be the primary contact for the project delivery in the project implementation division.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Overseeing smooth operations of the Implementation project division
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget
- Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of the project
- Coordinate with internal and external customers for the flawless execution of projects
- Manage relationships between clients and stakeholders
- Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools
- Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks
- Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation
- Oversee all sales and Negotiations to ensure an attractive product portfolio and strategic sales initiatives with clients.
- Understanding and continuously developing the value proposition for the various stakeholders.
- Evaluate and optimize operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness in the department.
- Coordinate, manage, and track team members and activities to ensure delivery of goals effectively and efficiently.
- Lead projects through a complete lifecycle,
- Control team performance,
- Ensure that all projects are accepted and closed by the customer,
- Ensure practices and principles of the Quality management system are followed as documented in the QMS
- Any other related duty may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
- BSc in Telecommunication, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field
- At least 8 years of experience as a Project Manager in the telecommunication industry
- A Master’s degree is an added advantage
- Strong experience in the Network roll-out, network upgrades, and Telecommunication infrastructure
- Knowledge and Experience in various Multi-Vendor Equipment and Transmission systems including NOKIA, Huawei, Ericsson, and Aviat among others.
- Expertise in RAN/Core mobile networks, Building fiber
- Knowledge of Network Infrastructure, including 2G, 3G, and 4G networks
- Telecommunications protocols, such as SS7, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, UTRAN, VoIP, SIP, etc.,
- Must be a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Ability to read and Interpret Construction and Telecom Installation drawings
- A solid understanding of business cases and risk management processes
