Position Title: Declaration Officer
Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Mombasa
CJ Logistics boasts an e-fulfillment solution optimized for e-commerce.
From storage of goods to shipping and delivery that follows customer orders as well as inventory management.
They seek to recruit a Declaration Officer who will use ICMS System to make export & import and transit entries, IDF.
Kentrade system to generate CD and proceed Local COC and proceed pre-advise in KPA system after generated entries.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with shipping line and follow the procedures to apply for Delivery Order.
- Execute IDF and normal import entries.
- Register export entries for minerals&pipes and do pre-advise in the KPA system.
- In charge of transit cargo to endure accurate estimations and smooth transit to cargo’s destination.
- Making all necessary documents in the systems (ICMS, KENTRADE, KWATOS) for clearance purposes
- Consult with various borders on processes and systems per time for transit cargo
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant work Experience
- EACFFP Certification.
- Knowledge of all the systems used for customs clearance in Kenya is A MUST.
- Familiar with ICMS system.
- Basic computer skills; proficient in Microsoft word and excel.
- Knowledge of documentation requirements.
- Must know customs procedures relating to imports & exports & transit as well as knowledge of customs laws of Kenya as well as the East African Community.
- An overall professional and positive attitude.
- Good interpersonal relations, and communication skills and possess a high degree of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
