JOB TITLE: DEPUTY DIRECTOR REVENUE J.G CPSB 04 ‘Q’
Terms of Service: - 5 Year Contract/Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist in planning, organizing, coordination, supervisions and administration of all revenue matters;
2. Assist in provision of advisory on revenue matters to Director Revenue;
3. Assist in ensuring proper enactment of laws, financial regulations and procedures pertaining to revenue matters;
4. Assist in initiating internal controls and procedures within the department of revenue;
5. Assist in provision of quality and timely accounting services in the revenue unit. They include, maintenance of accurate accounting records and preparation of management and statutory reports; and
6. Develop fresh revenue streams giving annual collection targets.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
1. Must be a Kenyan Citizen
2. Must have served for a period of not less than 6 years in the relevant field three out of which must have been in the position of Assistant Director of Revenue or in a relevant equivalent and comparable position in the public or private sector.
3. Must have passed CPA part III; Examination or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
4. Must have a degree in the following field of study; Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, economics, statistics or relevant/equivalent qualification from an approved institution;
5. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
6. Must have high degree of professional competence and administrative capability required for effective planning, direction control and condition of the accounting function; personal integrity and responsibility.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
All applicants are expected to present the following additional documents during interviews for purpose of complying with the provision of Chapter Six of the Constitution
1. Tax compliance certificates
2. Clearance from HELB where necessary
3. Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission
4. Clearance from the CRB.
5. Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
