Position Title: Senior Sales Officer – Construction Projects

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Our Client, a Leading and the most innovative paint company in East Africa providing tailor made solutions to the construction and retail segments of the market with innovative products, services and world class after-sales support is urgently seeking to hire talented and experienced Senior Sales Officer – Projects.

The successful candidate will promote the sales of company products within area of jurisdiction by maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and generate new businesses by opening new accounts and tapping into new markets. by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • To produce new revenue by researching and analyzing potential prospects and sales options.
  • Visit clients to determine the performance of products and gather intelligence competition.
  • To undertake general sales administration duties.
  • To post all sales related issues on the net.
  • To follow up stock levels to ensure they meet sales demand.
  • To handle painters’ calls on team kubwa.
  • To make quotations for different clients.
  • To follow up on deliveries.
  • To follow up on pending items,
  • To give orders to customer care and follow up on availability.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients
  • To develop, implement, and maintain sales activities and plans.
  • To build and maintain long-term relationships with current clients and their teams.
  • To lead and coordinate contract negotiations for a successful close.
  • To mentor team members and teach improved processes to enhance staff accomplishments.
  • To participate in the implementation of EHS / ISO and good housekeeping standard
  • To perform any other duties as required by Management.

Key Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing from a recognized institution.
  • Excellent communication skills (fluency in English and Swahili languages).
  • Excellent presentation and Negotiation Skills.
  • Ability to convert leads to sales.
  • Good trouble-shooting skills; computer proficiency is critical.
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours and frequent travels mainly within Kenya.
