Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Location: Dove Nest Lodge / Peppercorn Holiday Resort – Naivasha

Position Summary: We are looking for a reliable and friendly room attendant to join our hospitality team in order to provide superb customer service to our guests.

Your duties will include ensuring that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high quality cleaning service at public areas of hotel
  • Changing bed linen and making beds.
  • Service bathrooms by washing and emptying bins; wash all glass surfaces and floors; clean shower, bath, basin, bidet, and toilet to the best quality standard.
  • Restock/replace items in rooms and bathrooms for guest use that have run out of stock or need replacement.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors and dusting and polishing furniture.
  • Report issues such as equipment and light bulb damage promptly to supervisor or department manager for immediate action – ensure such reports are correctly logged.
  • Emptying trash containers and ashtrays.
  • Ensure service area is well stocked with necessary products and cleaned always

Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality field or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience.
  • Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
  • Physical mobility and stamina.
  • Great communication skills.
