Career Opportunity: Science Laboratory Technician
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving, labeling and safely storing laboratory chemicals and samples to be tested.
- Determining and performing tests needed for analysis and report.
- Maintain laboratory inventory such as equipment records and ensure equipment and samples are available when required.
- Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment including re-calibration of equipment.
- Ensure strict health and safety regulations.
- Ensure safe disposal of laboratory waste.
- Perform routine laboratory functions to support scientific experiments and investigations
- Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements;
- Minimum of a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or a Diploma in Applied Biology with a Certificate in Science Laboratory Technology.
- Must be Computer literate and knowledgeable on the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- At least 3 years relevant work experience.
- Certificate of Good Conduct.
- Clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission.
- KRA Tax Compliance clearance.
- Good organization skills.
- Attention to detail.
