Speakers Office Director Job Vacancy in Kenya – National Assembly

JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR, SPEAKERS OFFICE – NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, PSC 15 (1 VACANCY)

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for this position will include-

a)      Reporting to the Clerk of the National Assembly, the Director shall be responsible for the co-ordination of administrative activities in the Speaker’s office;

b)     Acting as the liaison person between the Speaker’s office and the rest of the parliamentary offices;

c)      Responsible for carrying out research, preparation of speeches and overseeing travel and protocol arrangements in the Speaker’s office; and

d)     Responsible for preparation and review of correspondence and reports as directed by the Clerk of the National Assembly.

 

Requirements for Appointment-

For appointment to this position, a candidate must-

a)      Have served for a minimum of three (3) years at the level of Senior Clerk Assistant in Parliament or in a comparable position in the public or private Sector

b)     Be a holder of a Bachelors degree in social sciences or humanities or in a relevant field from a recognized institution

c)      Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

d)     Have good inter-personal skills and a collaborative management style

e)      Have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

f)      A masters degree will be an added advantage
