Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Location: Dove Nest Lodge / Peppercorn Holiday Resort – Naivasha
Position Summary: Performs guest safety and recreational work supervising, swimming and enforcing regulations at a hotel pool as well as providing for the guest-s comfort.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the swimming pool, furniture, and facilities are clean and safe and also managing
the swimming pool cleaning schedule and performing daily inspections. - Provide excellent service consistent with the hotels standards operating procedures and brand
attributes - Enforcing safety protocols as set out by the resort or hotel.
- Identify and report defects throughout the pool and spa area, notify supervisors and concerned
departments immediately of hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affect the
operations. - Monitoring the activity of guests and ensuring their safety.
- Assists swimmers from water when in danger.
- Reporting any damages or incidences to the supervisor.
- Ensure neat and clean restroom and perform various chemical tests as per requirement.
Requirements
- Diploma level.
- Knowledge of swimming pool equipment sufficient to be able to perform minor maintenance
work on the equipment. - Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions sufficient to be able to establish a
safe work environment for self and others. - Knowledgeable of hotel facilities and services to answer guest inquiries
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Great communication skills
