Career Opportunity: General Maintenance Personnel
Reports to: General Manager
Job Location: Peppercorn Holiday Resort & Dove nest Lodge-Naivasha.
Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to maintenance team and perform upkeep tasks such as plumbing, electrical maintenance and repairs.
The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge.
To do well in this role you should also have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to read blueprints and repair manuals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance.
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, masonry etc.
- Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
- Repairing water pipes, drainage system, machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma/Certificate in artisan or technical related courses or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role.
- Proven maintenance experience i.e. plumbing, electrical experience etc.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches and plumbing
tools. - Strong organizational and follow up skills.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Strong time management skills.
