Our client in manufacturing is looking for a Human Resource and Operations Officer.
Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the HR and Operations Officer will be responsible for running and coordinating the activities of the Human Resource function.
He/she will also be responsible for the effective management and administration of the company operations.
Gross Salary: Kshs 35,000
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Human Resource function
- Coordinate organization-sponsored employee services and activities to increase employee engagement
- Develop, implement and ensure compliance with employee policies and procedures
- Manage the onboarding of new employees
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and follow up on the action logs
- Handle overall administration including vendor relations, procurement, housekeeping etc
- Ensure that the training and development program is implemented
- Support the performance management processes
- Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
- Optimize operational costs in compliance with the company policies
- Manage daily route planning and provide quality customer service
- Implement the transport plan and oversee daily shipping
- Ensure full implementation and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Carry out logistics administration tasks and prepare logistics reports as required
- Maintain fuel and vehicle records
- Optimize the loading efficiency and enforce adherence to traffic regulations
- Coordinate delivery logistics for products and documents and ensure timeliness
- Ensure implementation and adherence to quality, health, and safety norms as per company policy.
Person’s specifications
- A degree/diploma/certification in Human Resource Management
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar setup or in a logistics management industry
- Experience working in an SME and fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills -Experience leading projects in an SME will be an advantage
- Good self-management skills, team player
- Ability to multitask and coordinate tasks, good planning and coordinating skills
- An excellent communicator able to manage difficult clients or teams
- A good understanding of finance and proven ability to sell
