Position Title: Grant-Fundraising Specialist

The Company is looking for an exceptional individual to join our organization.
The Grant-Fundraising Specialist will support the company to competitively position itself, for funding opportunities with institutional funders.
The individual will be responsible for driving theinstitutional fundraising strategy to secure and manage significant income from a diverse range of funders.
He/she will support the organization in the research and development of strategies for Result-Based Financing (RBF), climate financing, Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) with the government and other strategies, of which partnership with institutional funders will be critical.
He/she will contribute to the organizational business development knowledge with best practices,
procedures, and tools for the diversification of financing structures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve the company’s ambitious fundraising targets through building partnerships with key
institutional stakeholders. - Lead all aspects of donor relationships, including conducting baseline prospect-identification
and research, preparation of proposals, solicitation, reporting, closure, and stewardship,
working closely with the operational and finance teams. - Craft strong business rationale and a tailored message to partners and funders.
- Build and manage strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop strategic framework and lead implementation for result-based financing.
- Represent the company externally with funders, government, and other key stakeholders.
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness of business development processes, including proposal
development, partnership management, financial reporting, etc. - Preparing Annual targets in regard to his/her Job description.
- Writing, submitting, and uploading press releases as required.
- Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Organizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders.
- Establishing good relationships with staff, members of the public, and the media.
- Work in conjunction with the Line Manager to have a good overall understanding of all
revenue streams. - Stay abreast of fundraising good practice and legislation, ensuring compliance with the
Charities Act and the Fundraising codes of practice. - Network with other fundraisers and charity staff when possible.
Academic Qualifications / Work Experience / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Finance / Accounting or any other business related field.
- At least 4 years of work experience in fundraising or business development in a global
development context. - Previous experience in sales or marketing is an added advantage.
- Evidence of having engaged and secured business from non-governmental organizations and
private sector. - A good understanding of the charity fundraising over a range of methods.
- Highly organized team player, with pro-active and flexible work style.
- Proven strong focus and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with donors.
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
- Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations
- Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills.
