Career Opportunity: Junior Web Developer
Duration: 4 – 6 Months
The Junior Web Developer / Administrator will support multiple digital assets including the website and other digital assets including Foundation and other campaign/segment specific assets.
The position combines front-end web development, with back-end programming skills and day-to-day management of several CMSs.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMSs) functionality and have utilized an enterprise level CMSs to author, edit and maintain a consumer facing website.
The role holder’s time will be split between the creation of new pages leveraging the Group templates toolbox, with the bigger share of their time allocated to supporting the content accuracy, ensuring all content sections are kept up to date.
Full stack development skills are strongly desired, as are excellent written communication and documentation skills.
The ideal candidate would be proactive, detail-oriented and self-motivated, with relevant professional experience paired with a high level of accuracy and pride in their work.
Responsibilities:
The Junior Website Developer / Administrator will ensure that the content of Stanbic’s digital assets is
well-structured, easy to find, up-to date and meets the needs of our users.
- Working within Content Management Systems (CMSs), deliver effective day-to-day running of our suite of websites/digital assets through regular content updates, maintenance, website health checks, testing and debugging;
- Ensure that website content has a consistent look and feel and is formatted to established standards;
- Apply an understanding of SEO to improve organic search across websites;
- Perform ongoing QA/usability testing, to ensure optimization of the user experience to increase user retention;
- Work with the Brand and Marketing team to implement new content pages as required, aligned to the templates toolkit;
- In collaboration with colleagues, monitoring and tuning for system performance, and ensuring key Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology
- Proficiency in UI design software, such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma or Invision Studio
- Proficiency in full stack programming languages including HTM, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Angular, Python, Java, SQL
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) functionality
- Proficiency in site monitoring tools, including Google Analytics and Google; Tag Manager
- Experience in using A/B testing to improve user retention
