Overview: Mission Aviation Fellowship is a Christian organisation.

As a worldwide partnership we operate over 135 aircraft from bases in more than 30 countries, serving about 2,500 destinations; these aircraft are used to enable aid and development agencies, missions, national churches and other local groups; serving together to bringing help, hope and healing.

MAF in South Sudan currently has 4 Kenyan-registered Cessna Caravans based at Juba Airport, supporting the ministries of a large variety of churches, missions and NGO’s serving in the country.

The construction of a new MAF hangar in Juba is almost complete and this will soon become an approved Line Station for the MAF AMO based at Wilson Airport.

This new maintenance facility will be instrumental in providing greater flexibility and support to our flight operation in South Sudan and enable MAF to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ.

Responsibilities

We currently have a vacancy for the position of Line Station Engineer Juba to perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, primarily at the Line Station in Juba and occasionally from the Base Station in Nairobi.

Regional maintenance support may also be required to support the maintenance of the MAF fleet at different locations in Africa.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • providing a professional aviation engineering service
  • actively participating in the Quality and Safety Management Systems
  • supporting the effective performance, development, and training of the aviation maintenance team in co-ordination with the Head of Base Maintenance and Head of Line Maintenance

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

We expect you to have completed an approved aircraft maintenance engineer pre-employment course and a KCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License with at least two type ratings; PT6A series (TR), C208 Series (TR).

You are required to have at least five (5) years of experience in maintenance, of which two (2) as certifying engineer.

Other expectations:

As job holder we expect you to actively work and live-in accordance with Christian beliefs international travel will be required to support aircraft maintenance in other countries

Experience of working in a multi-cultural organization with a wide range of different backgrounds is an added advantage
