Our Client a Sacco operating in Kiambu County seeks to recruit a competent and innovative Registry Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain sound records management systems consistent with best practices and the law.
- Research and advice on new records management policies, procedures, and practices, as well as legal and regulatory challenges.
- Implement a records retention, disposal, and information preservation system that complies with the Data Protection Act as well as Sacco policy and regulations.
- Custodian of Sacco files, data (records), and assets, ensuring that Sacco is not exposed to any liabilities arising from customer data loss, inadequacy, inaccuracy, or misrepresentation.
- Implement digitization of the Sacco’s records management,
- Maintains society’s registers for efficient retrieval and use of any information/data that is stored at the registry.
- Archiving of manual and electronic records/information as well as ensuring the preservation of Sacco’s memory and heritage.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Supervise any staff assigned to serve in the Registry from time to time.
- Prepare operational and other reports as may be needed by statutory bodies.
- Implement KYC principles in relation to the Registry, and ensure effective communication with relevant stakeholders in the event of any customer record-related inquiries.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Records/Information/Library Science/Archives Management plus 3 years of relevant experience (or 5 years for a Diploma holder).
- Computer proficiency especially in electronic document management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, high level of integrity and confidentiality
