We are searching for a female, Christian Montessori Teacher as a private tutor to two children.
The private tutor will work in a home setting and should be trustworthy, reliable and innovative.
She should ideally live along Ngong Road.
As a Montessori teacher, your duties and responsibilities will include creating stimulating learning environments for the two children and create lesson plans that develop emotional, social, and intellectual skills.
You will also be communicating with the parents and assessing the children’s individual needs as needed including learning materials that will be needed.
Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys and embraces alternative learning as well as understands the importance of nurturing and guiding children.
Any candidate with a bachelor’s degree in childhood teaching or a similar area of study along with a completed training program is welcome to apply.
Salary: Kshs 25,000 net per month
Montessori Teacher Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creating creative lesson plans and curriculums that will include learning exercises catering to the
two children’s needs and abilities - Observing and assessing the children’s progress and needs
- Guiding the kids in a stimulating classroom environment
- Making the children feel comfortable and at ease while motivating them and exploring their ideas
and imagination - Monitoring student progress and keeping the parents updated on the same.
- Setting an example for the kids being a role model instilling good values
Montessori Teacher Requirements:
- Completed training at a Montessori accredited center or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood
teaching or similar area of study - Excellent communication skills
- One year experience at a Montessori institution
- Understanding of the program and passion for alternative education
- Ability to teach young children and having the patience and compassion required to do so.
- Being a role model for children
- Ability to multitask and organize learning programs
- Living along Ngong Road
- Available to start immediately
