Career Opportunity: Storekeeper (Tourism)

Location: Segera, Laikipia County

Reporting to: Procurement Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Receiving of goods, materials or any other items ordered by the company.

2. Ensuring that bin card quantities tally with physical quantities for all goods in the stores.

3. Issuing all goods, recording in the issue note, updating the goods issued in the bin cards and in the stock sheets in the computer on real time.

4. Stock taking at the end of every month in liaison with the accounts department.

5. Correct placements of all goods received in the physical location for stock items.

6. Ensuring all items purchased for the shop are in good condition and correctly issued for the staff on a need to need basis.

7. Ensure every item leaving the stores is recorded in issuance book / personal file.

8. Checking on employee clearance sheet by ensuring upon leaving all items, tools, uniforms and equipments issued are returned.

9. Ensure that stock bin cards are maintained, well labeled and accurate figures reflect actual number of items available.

10. Ensure that work environment is clean and devoid of objects which can cause harm or endanger others.

11. Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably assigned by management from to time

The ideal candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:-

1. ‘O’ Level certificate

2. At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a storekeeper

3. Computer experience and ability to use Microsoft office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

4. Ability to communicate well.

5. High degree of honesty, integrity and reliability

6. Must have a clean personnel record with good moral character

7. Well groomed person with high degree of integrity.

8. Prepared to work long with flexible hours

9. Service-oriented

10. Able to work with minimum supervision under pressure
