Position Title: Junior Secondary Teachers

A premier high School with a Junior Secondary section is looking for qualified teachers to steer CBC in their Junior Secondary Section.

Teaching Duties

To be responsible for curriculum delivery, participate and/or conduct research in subjects of specialization.
Implementation of the curriculum by ensuring timely preparation of Schemes of work, lesson plans, and other professional documents.
Teach subjects of specialization to impart knowledge, skills, and attitudes to the learner.
Implementation of scheduled instructional programs as advised by the school management.
Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
Prepare lesson plans, lesson notes, timetables, schemes of work and maintain academic learning standards in the school to ensure that the syllabus is covered in time for evaluation.
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Evaluate learners on subjects of specialization and prepare learners for national and other assessments.
Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
Give assessment tests, homework and assignments to students.
Supervise students in the classroom and other school settings.
Update all teaching documents and records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies and school regulations.
Encourage, monitor and maintain accurate and complete records of the students’ progress and development.
