Grouting Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- To give advice and guidance to the contractor on how to improve his grouting operations, including ground treatment in mixed biotite and granitic gneiss terrain for waterproofing a major 1500m long CFRD dam, a 250m long concrete spillway weir as well as embankment saddle dams;
- Grouting for underground works (curtain, consolidation and contact grouting) for approx. 1800m of large diameter tunnels and shafts that have substantively been excavated and lined.
- Improvement of Contractor’s QA/QC systems and protocols
- Preparation of technical and progress reports including assessment of resource availability and material balance for project construction
- Improving quality assurance and quality control to achieve earliest practical contract completion to specification.
- Curtain, contact and consolidation grouting at the CFRD plinth and in underground elements of the Works.
- Working with an inexperienced and under -resourced Chinese Contractor
- Working in a relatively remote location with ad hoc specialist technical support
