Position Title: IT Technician
Salary Range: Ksh 30,000 – 40,000
Reporting to: General Manager
Job Purpose: Technician will be responsible for effectively designing, presenting, implementing, managing and supporting the next generation voice architecture/ wireless solutions and cabling solutions, microwave solutions among others. Design, install, and commission, manage and support VoIP and IP telephony solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage support contracts, SLA’s and all install base infrastructure
- Train call center agents on efficient use of software to achieve optimal performance
- Consult with internal and external customers to resolve technical issues surrounding network design
- Designing, presenting and implementing cabling outlays as per company needs.
- Carry out period surveillance to ensure that the cable are functioning effectively
- Carry out frequent tests to ensure systems are functioning well
- Maintenance of installation and service procedures.
- Professionally interact with team members and clients.
- Monitor and repair telecommunications links and telephony devices for failures and performance problems and perform capacity planning
- Support end users with hardware and software issues.
- Serve as technical specialist/lead on a functional basis, for the resolution of complex telephony problems.
- Coordinate with the help desk to respond to staff queries.
- Professionally interact with team members and clients.
- Attendance of appropriate company meetings.
- Any other duty as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications;
- Minimum of Diploma in Information Technology
- At least 2 years progressive experience in a busy institution preferably call center
- Ability to install and monitor servers .
- Experience in icloud 3CX and other call center software
- Experience in a call center set up a plus.
Note: this job will require working at night and other extended times
