Position Title: Sales Manager

Industry: USA-based premium dog breeding

Location: Karen, Nairobi Office

Gross Salary: Ksh 100,000 – Ksh 150,000

Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Sales Manager to join their leadership team.

The position will be tasked with providing inspired leadership for the sales, marketing, and customer service arm of the company.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for meeting the customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative, high-performance environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and marketing expense controls. Execute said plan and meet sales goals.
  • Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.
  • Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team. Provide ongoing training of the salespeople.
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Develop new avenues of marketing and lead generation.
  • Equip the sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
  • Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with prospective consumers and other related industries to help strengthen partnerships.
  • Leverage the existing network and expand the company’s product reach and repeat business through relationship building and exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the team to properly coordinate project implementation, and customer service support interface, and proactively address problems/customer issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers.
  • Strategic reporting on all sales activities including sales and prospecting activities, sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing and directing a sales team.
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative and sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Spoken and written English communication with the highest standards of professionalism is required.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management.
  • Capable of grasping the structure & intricacies of the business & markets.
  • Willingness and drive to learn quickly and become proficient in a unique field of work: the breeding and selling of premium puppies in the United States.
  • Must be a fast learner, highly self-motivated, capable of producing high-impact work without supervision, adaptable, and self-confident.
  • Creativity to solve problems and develop ideas to improve workflow and efficiency.
  • Mental and emotional fortitude to thrive in a fast pace, high-production, performance-driven environment.
  • High business acumen with excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information and adapt it to specific customers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a high degree of responsiveness, reliability, and integrity.
  • Driven with a persuasive, enthusiastic, and client-centric focus.
  • Previous experience in sales and customer service with high-profile, high-net-worth, VIP clientele is a bonus.
  • Required to work on a USA business hours work schedule, working afternoons to late evenings in Kenya time.
