Primary Purpose:

Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for development of recruitment strategies to increase CWS RSC Africa talent pool and pipelines. This role will provide input to ensure CWS Africa has diverse global talent that performs at a high level responding to the changing needs of the organization. Talent Acquisition Manager will implement CWS Africa Recruitment best practices that ensure timely selection of top talent and will recruit talent that will support CWS RSC Africa organizational culture. Talent Acquisition Manager will work closely with management on all diversity issues, ensuring fairness in the recruitment process.

This role supervises the Human Resource Supervisor Talent Acquisition.

Essential Duties

  • Support in the development of integrated talent acquisition strategy to ensure the right talent is recruited for CWS Africa.
  • Design strategic and scalable recruiting and retention initiatives in alignment with organizational strategic objectives
  • Lead in developing recruitment metrics that support the organization’s direction and goals on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Establish strong Rapport with the hiring managers in Sub Saharan Africa to understand their strategic staffing needs, Priorities and ensure vacancies are filled on time.
  • Act as a regional advisor in hiring processes, sourcing, relocation, job description writing and ensuring adherence to the global requirements.
  • Provide leadership, training and coaching of recruitment personnel, including learning and reflection post-recruitment, to ensure positive candidate experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in recruitment and hiring within Sub Sahara Africa
  • Develop recruitment-focused indicators and dashboard to measure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate on design and implementation of employer branding initiatives.
  • Provide leadership in ensuring adherence to recruitment policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), processes, practices, and programs to support and foster building and retaining a high performing organization.
  • Manage a diverse recruitment team across Sub Saharan Africa.
  • Ensure policy and procedures, such as, screening, and interviewing standards are rigorous and transparent in the evaluation of candidates are utilized consistently across all recruitment portfolios.
  • Facilitate and manage organization sourcing networks and partnering arrangements to broaden the organizations response capability and reduce
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process of organizational leaders, as required.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Eight (8) years’ work experience is required
  • Two (2) years of direct supervisory experience
  • Proven experience managing working in an HR management capacity with large multi-cultural teams.
  • Knowledge of Kenya Labor laws and customs preferred.
  • Experience with overseas processing or US refugee resettlement preferred

  • Experience managing recruitment of diverse talent requirement

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed, results -oriented environment at fast pace,
  • Posses a solid understanding and a strong experience sourcing with online networking tools and ability to identify and access new professional networks in an international market required.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills, responding to internal clients and candidates in a timely and professional manner
  • Proven ability to create diverse pipelines of talent sourcing for difficult to fill roles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer literacy, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related area with postgraduate qualification/certification in Human Resource Management, or four (4) year’s additional work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s degree is preferred

Special Requirements:

  • COVID Vaccination is strongly recommended for all successful candidates
  • The candidate should be of good health, willing and able to travel extensively in often difficult conditions and have a high degree of flexibility. Must have proof of Yellow Fever vaccination before traveling for RSC Africa/Remove if not applicable.
  • This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya
  • This position always requires use of laptops, competence in Microsoft office packages is required.
  • This position may require travel in sub-Saharan Africa on short notice and under sometimes difficult conditions to meet demands of a dynamic operational program
  • Background check which includes references, and an educational criminal check is required before the start of employment for international applicants.
  • A valid passport and the ability to maintain a valid passport throughout the entire appointment is required, which includes having enough passport pages for travel.
  • Physical: This position requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, sitting, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, handling objects (manual dexterity), reaching above shoulder level, using fine finger movements, and lifting/carrying heavy loads.
  • Environmental: Incumbents in this position will be exposed to excessive noise, marked changes in temperature and/or humidity, dust and infectious diseases, harsh weather climates, long work hours, bumpy roads, extended travel, excessive sun exposure, and non-ventilated spaces.
  • All employees should be prepared to work from the CWS office within their location of hire. Remote work arrangements may vary depending on location and the governing rulings regarding the COVID-19 pandemic
