Position Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description
Broad Function
- Developing and implementing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems and determining corrective actions.
- Ensure the new and revalidated cylinders meet established quality standards eliminating defects from market, providing support to the whole company to ensure a safe working environment in line with statutory requirement.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- To ensure effective and efficient utilization of Company resources by the production staff
- Supervise the day to day running of the production line by supervising the production team to ensure stations and overall targets are timely achieved
- Co-ordination with the Production and Quality Engineer in drawing weekly plans ensuring availability of all the necessary materials to undertake the planned work
- Responsible for any time wasted in the factory, overtime wrongfully claimed, sub-standard production and reworks
- Ensure that all staff are suitably trained and qualified on safety for the various tasks and jobs they are assigned
- Participating in New Product Development (NDP) initiatives
- Evaluating work performance for production staff in liaison with other supervisors for both contract and temporary staff on monthly basis
- Acting on customer complaints and putting in place corrective measures to avoid future complaints
- Providing support to the Quality Management System in the organization
- Gather and analyze production data on hourly and daily basis
- Liaise with Quality Engineer to ensure products quality and reworks are carried out in timely manner
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor degree/Diploma in Production engineering or any other related course from a reputable university
- Computer literate
