Position Title: Temporary Data Clerks

Building around a new CHAMPS (CHildren And Mother PartnershipS) model, CMMB will work at both the community and clinical levels in these targeted communities to strengthen health services and address the leading causes of maternal and child death.
In addition, CMMB will expand its volunteer program to strengthen health care delivery in CHAMPS-supported facilities, and will engage with the pharmaceutical industry to help meet the needs of CHAMPS communities and facilities.

Department Summary
The Programs Department plays a critical role in achieving CMMB’s strategy around improving the lives of women and children, by leading the provision of high quality programs focused on children’s and mothers’ health, and particularly in the development and implementation of our CHAMPS model.
This team is also responsible for generating revenue from and partnering effectively with government(s), major foundations, and other major donors, and will help to position and enhance CMMB’s technical capacity and reputation in the field of global healthcare.
CMMB has been working in Kenya for almost 15 years. CMMB works to ensure that the most vulnerable populations, especially mothers and children, have access to quality services in health care, health promotion and illness prevention.
Overview
Under Under the guidance of Procurement & Logistics Officer and/or his designate, the Data Clerk will support the specific project activity assigned. The role will include data verification, entry and reporting.
He/she will ensure accurate entry of all provided data into the relevant databases.
Responsibilities
- Undertake data entry from source documents into computerized databases following prescribed formats.
- Maintain privacy, security and confidentiality of program data and related documents including any confidential information s/he may come in contact with.
- Any other related duty assignment as may be assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum of Diploma in Procurement / Supply chain, Records Management, Informatics, biostatisticsor any other related discipline.
- Competency in Microsoft office package especially excel, word and PowerPoint as well as fast typing skills; knowledge of touch-typing systems is strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of data bases
- Experience or strong knowledge on data management practices.
- Positive attitude and open minded with strong analytical and listening skills.
- Demonstrates diplomacy, flexibility, resourcefulness and ready to learn where necessary.
- Prominent level of integrity and honesty.
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and cooperation
Terms of Engagement
This is a 4 – day engagement. Due to the nature of engagement, candidates from Nairobi are highly encouraged to apply.
