Kakuzi PLC is looking to recruit a freshly qualified graduate as a Management Trainee to strengthen the management team in its Forestry Division. This position is based in Makuyu.
The position exists for the purpose of training and developing a recent graduate with educational background in Forestry to learn and understand our business and operations, with the intent to have the individual available to fill progressively more responsible positions in future.
The job holder will be involved in coordination and control of the field activities of the Forestry division under the supervision of Forestry Divisional Manager.
The areas of responsibility will include management of employees and employee related issues, weeding, felling, transportation, inventory and processing of forestry raw material in the field efficiently and cost effectively.
Qualifications and person specifications
- Degree in Forestry, with a minimum of second Class Honours.
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive and self-motivated individual.
- Willing to work in a farm environment.
- Be a team player with good interpersonal skills
- Be a person of Integrity
