Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Our client, an international organization is looking to hire a Quality Control Inspector who will check the quality of incoming and outgoing materials or products for the company, as well as running tests, keeping a record of defects, analysing products, and overseeing production procedures.
The incumbent will be working closely with the Quality Supervisor / Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement QC Program and perform on-site QC functions to assure the quality work.
- Perform QC reviews and processing of all project submittals, test reports, certifications and other documentations required in the contract.
- Serve as the liaison between the government Construction Manager (CM) and IDIQ Project Management.
- Interfaces with disciplines to steward resolution of technical issues, Requests for Information (RFIs), and non-compliant work.
- Responsible for managing and coordinating the three phases of control and documentation, and ensures testing is performed.
- Prepare punch lists and validate corrective action plans.
- Prepare and issue overall QC inspection status report and maintain non-conformance log.
- Coordinates different holding and witness points to Government Construction Managers (CM).
- Performs project material verification and prepares associated documents.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead QC meetings, mock-ups and other QC related activities.
- Report quality issues to Project Manager and Construction Superintendent promptly including regular updates for reporting requirements.
- Familiar with EM-385-1-1 and has experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
Required Academic Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline is highly desired) from an accredited College or University or equivalent institution
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience in the industrial field of QA/QC functions or experience gained by performing specialized work in a closely related professional occupation.
- Professional certification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is highly desired.
- Construction Quality Management for Contractors
- Experience in Quality Conformance, Field Inspection, and Internal Quality Auditing is preferred.
- Must know about ISO 9001:2008 and/or 9001:2015 is highly desired.
- Must possess administrative, organizational, and computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft
- Office suite including (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion of multiple tasks, under strict deadlines and changing priorities.
- Comfort with multi-tasking and handling multiple requests from different individuals and departments.
- Ability to work quickly and in a potentially high-stress environment.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to interact at all levels.
- Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
